Pay attention to the small props the director pays to past Vampire and Dracula classics. One such moment will flash a smirk across the face of anyone who's ever watch Bram's Dracula. Arash tries to kiss her, but he gets rejected and she dances with somebody else. The film's protagonist, The Girl, is a sort-of antihero vigilante with a taste for bad men. As a vampire, she is able to roam the streets at night without being concerned for her safety, subverting the implications of the film's title.
The cultural aspect of the film was interesting. This film has been overrated quite a bit. I'm not sure it is especially original.
