Instead, that restaurant space is home to the Austin location of Chicago Mediterranean restaurant Aba, which opened last fall. “We’re not just providing physical spaces but an environment that reimagines networking, entertainment, dining and events in an iconic building and location that only D.C. At each Soho House location, designers seek to create a “home away from home” that might feel like the abode of a chic local. At the South Congress locale, light linens, loud prints, weathered wood, and artwork made by 72 local artists create a uniquely Texas vibe. The House has three floors with plenty of opportunities to see and be seen. There’s dining and drinks at Club Cecconi’s ($24 house burger, $17 cocktails), a rooftop pool, a luxe cinema screening room, cocktail bar Dante’s HiFi, and 46 bedrooms where members can book short or long stays. Soho House was created to bring diverse communities of people together, and we take the same approach when building our teams.

Local Austin artists and craftspeople have contributed furniture to the interiors, including murals based on ancient mythology and patterned pool bed fabric inspired by Mexican heritage. Upon entry, an elevator whisks members and their guests to the third floor, where low-level chairs and banquette seating fill an expansive wraparound patio. A wooden pergola, wooden floor lamps, and glass pendant lights accent the outdoor space, complemented by planters of cacti and other native greenery.

The main club features natural materials including stone tables, aged leather seats, a reclaimed timber ceiling, and large hand-thrown lamps by Austin ceramicist Keith Kreeger.
